OUR HISTORY

This is our journey

Advokatfirmaet Aider Legal AS is a result of the merger of Magnus Legal and Strandenæs AS with the lawyers at Aider AS. By joining forces, we brought together strong professional environments with a shared ambition: to build a modern, forward-thinking law firm grounded in experience, quality, and trust.

1996—ADVOKATFIRMAET STRANDENÆS AS ESTASBLISHED
Harald Strandenæs founded his law firm.
2005—VISMA ADVOKATER ESTABLISHED
The Magnus Legal journey started as Visma Advokater—a legal company under the Visma brand umbrella in Bergen.
2007—OFFICE IN OSLO AND TRONDHEIM ESTABLISHED
Visma Advokater strengthened the presence in Norway and expanded our legal team by opening offices in both Oslo and Trondheim.
2015—MERGED WITH ADVANCED SOLUTIONS
Visma Advokter joined forces with Advanced Solution, an accounting and payroll company in Stavanger led by Inger Lise Løvneseth. This led to our Stavanger establishment.
2017—NAME CHANGE
We changed our company name to Advokatfirmaet Magnus Legal AS, after Magnus Lagabøtes Law—the code of Magnus the Lawmender.
2025—20th ANNIVERSARY & BECOMING AIDER LEGAL

Magnus Legal celebrated 20 years in the industry, changed our name to Advokatfirmaet Aider Legal AS, and became part of the Aider group.
2026—AIDER ADVOKATENE OG STRANDENÆS BECOME PART OF AIDER LEGAL
We joined forces with Aider Advokatene, and Advokatfirmaet Strandenæs AS (founded in 1996 by Harald Strandenæs) was merged into Advokatfirmaet Aider Legal AS. Together, we continue building on more than 30 years of combined legal experience.
